Who runs the club

Marque Vellum is operated by Glass Table Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15108818, registered office 453 Walton Summit Centre, Bamber Bridge, Preston PR5 8AU). Questions about these terms: privacy@marquevellum.com. By using the club you agree to these terms. Our Privacy notice explains what we hold about you.

Membership

Membership is by invitation only. We may refuse an application or withdraw membership at any time without giving reasons. You must be 18 or over. One account per person. Keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for everything posted from your account.

Membership fee

If you join Marque Vellum before 01/01/2027, membership is free of charge for 12 months from the day you join. Nothing is owed for that period. What happens after the free period, and for anyone who joins on or after 01/01/2027, has not yet been decided: [NEED FROM ME: fee after the free period and for sign-ups from 01/01/2027]. If we ever introduce a fee, we will email every member at least [NEED FROM ME: notice period, suggest 60 days] before it applies, and nobody will be charged anything unless they have first agreed to it. Membership that is not agreed to be paid for simply remains free until it ends under these terms. If you agree to pay a fee, you will have at least 14 days from the day you agree in which to cancel and receive a refund, and nothing in these terms cuts down any longer right to cancel given to you by the consumer law of the country you live in. Conduct

• Be courteous to other members.
• Do not share another member's cars, photos, messages or details outside the club.
• Do not post telephone numbers, web links or other ways of making contact outside the club. The site rejects telephone numbers; trying to get round that is a breach of these terms.
• Post nothing unlawful, abusive or misleading, and nothing that is not yours to post.
• We may remove a listing or a reported message without notice.

Your content

You keep ownership of everything you post. You give Glass Table Ltd a licence to store and display it inside the club for as long as it is there, so the club can work. You confirm you have the right to post it, including any photos of other people or their property.

Sales between members

A sale agreed through The Circle is entirely between the members involved. Glass Table Ltd is not a party to it, holds no money and does not verify the ownership, condition, history or legality of any vehicle. Check everything yourself before you pay. The "Check the vehicle" panel points to a United Kingdom government service and nothing else; it is of no use for a vehicle registered elsewhere. Buyers and sellers in different countries are responsible for export, import, tax and registration rules in their own countries. Prices are shown in pounds sterling. We can give a conversion into another currency on request; it is a guide only and the price is the sterling figure.

Trade sellers

Private owners and trade sellers may both list cars in The Circle. If you sell cars in the course of a business, or are acting for someone who does, you must say so clearly on every listing. This matters because a buyer's consumer rights are different when buying from a trader, and hiding a trade sale is misleading. Glass Table Ltd may remove, without notice, any listing that hides or disguises a trade sale, and may withdraw the membership behind it. Allowing trade sellers does not change how the club is run: membership remains by invitation only, and every request to join is read and vetted by a person before any invitation is sent. Ending membership

You can delete your account at any time from the Account page. We can suspend a membership at any time, with or without notice, for a breach of these terms or for any other reason; a suspended member cannot sign in and their content stays stored until deleted. Glass Table Ltd can also delete an account from the admin panel. When an account is deleted, its cars, photos, listings and the text of its messages are removed; backups keep a copy for up to 14 days. Content you shared may already have been seen by other members.

Our liability

The club is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, Glass Table Ltd is not liable for dealings between members, for any vehicle bought or sold, for loss of content, or for the club being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. [NEED FROM ME: solicitor to set the liability wording and any cap; consumer law in the member's country may override this.]

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute. Nothing in these terms takes away protections you have under the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will email members before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the club after that date is acceptance of the new terms. [NEED FROM ME: solicitor to confirm that continued use counts as acceptance.]
